Drum

I started playing the drums at the age of 5 and have since performed in numerous concerts with various groups. I am the drummer of a band called “Dostlarla Demlenirken”, with which I have released original music on Spotify. My experience in music has greatly contributed to my discipline, creativity, and stage presence. I am also an active member of METU Music Society, where I take part in collaborative musical projects and performances.

Sport

I am a licensed athlete with competitive experience in both basketball and swimming. I have received multiple medals and trophies in various tournaments over the years. Currently, I play as a point guard and serve as the assistant team captain of my university’s basketball team, which recently won the University Championship. My background in sports has strengthened my discipline, leadership, and team-oriented mindset—qualities I carry into my academic and professional pursuits.

I have a strong passion for exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures. As Anthony Bourdain once said, “Travel isn’t always pretty, but it changes you,” and through my journeys to many countries, I have gained a broader perspective, enhanced my adaptability, and deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity. These experiences have helped me cultivate a curious and open-minded approach, both in life and throughout my academic journey.
